Dell reportedly cooking up a dual-screen device with Windows 10 on ARM

If yous live in the Microsoft bubble, 1 of the most hotly rumored devices is Microsoft'southward Andromeda project, a foldable dual-screen device that the company has been speculated to be working on for some fourth dimension. Microsoft certainly isn't alone in its efforts, as, almost notably, Samsung has been reported to be cooking up something similar for months.

Co-ordinate to the latest rumor, notwithstanding, Dell may be getting ready to throw its lid in the ring as well.

German blog WinFuture.de now reports that Dell is working on a dual-screen device nether the codename "Januss." Co-ordinate to the report, Januss has been in the works since final summer and is expected to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform. Other tidbits the device is rumored to include are USB-C, several cameras, and LTE connectivity.

The report doesn't cite whatever potential release timeframe and, ultimately, the prototype device Dell is said to exist working on may stay in the prototype stage without an eventual release. Nonetheless, information technology would certainly make sense that, if Microsoft is indeed working on a dual-screen device, it would want its hardware partners in on the action, too. Later on all, Windows x on ARM seems to be a focus for Microsoft going frontward, and Dell'south rumored device would be another on the market.
